How do I import my Hevy or Strong data?+
In Hevy: Profile → Settings → Export Data to get a CSV. In Strong: Profile → Settings → Export Strong Data. Then in PLATES, go to Settings → Import Data, pick the file, and your full history — PRs included — is rebuilt in seconds. Imports run on your device.
How is my rank calculated?+
Your rank comes from your strongest lifts, scored against strength standards adjusted for your bodyweight, age and sex. You need at least 3 ranked lifts to unlock a full rank — until then it shows as locked. Ranks move slowly by design, just like strength.
What's the difference between rank and elixir?+
Rank measures how strong you are relative to your size, age and sex. Elixir is a reward currency you earn for showing up and logging work — it never decreases your rank and exists so consistency always pays, even on lighter weeks.
Why does a muscle look cold on my heatmap?+
The heatmap is built from your logged sets over recent weeks. A cold muscle means little or no recent volume hit it. Log the work (or import it) and the heat comes back.
Can I use PLATES without importing anything?+
Yes. PLATES has a full, fast workout logger — start from an athlete program on the Train tab or log a blank workout. Import is just the fastest way to bring years of history with you.
How do leaderboards work? Who can see my data?+
Leaderboards are opt-in. If you join one, others see your display name, rank tier and qualifying scores — never your raw logs or body metrics. Friend boards are private to the people in them.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?+
Subscriptions are handled by Apple. Open Settings on your iPhone → tap your name → Subscriptions → PLATES. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
How do I delete my data?+
Everything local can be wiped from Settings → Reset inside the app, or by deleting the app. To remove any synced leaderboard data, email us and we'll delete it within 30 days.
Reporting a bug?
Include your iPhone model, iOS version, what you were doing when it happened, and a screenshot if you can. If the issue is with a CSV import, attaching the file (or its first few rows) helps us fix it fast.
